Instagram engagement rate calculator
Engagement is the figure partners check first. Type in your numbers, or pull them from any public account, and see how yours compares.
How it’s calculated
Add typical likes, typical comments and (if you have them) saves and shares, divide by followers, multiply by 100. Base it on a dozen recent posts instead of one, so a single breakout post doesn’t distort the result.
Reading your result
- Under 1%: low. Common for very large accounts, or ones with many inactive followers.
- 1–3%: where most accounts sit.
- 3–6%: good; your audience is responding.
- Over 6%: very high, often on small, tight-knit accounts.
Why check before buying
Bought followers add to the bottom of the sum but not the top, so your rate falls. Work it out now, then again with the follower count you’re aiming for. If it drops under 1%, pick a smaller bundle or add likes to your best posts. The ratio tool helps you size them.
Filling in from an account
Type a public username above the form and the tool fetches the follower count and averages likes and comments over recent posts. Nothing is saved. If the lookup fails, type the numbers yourself.
